It wasn’t a good one for them knowing how they started the campaign as title favorite only for injuries to shatter their dreams of winning the league title after coming off an amazing previous season in which they won the UEFA Champions League.

Things didn’t work out for them as last year December their form hit rock bottom with almost one-quarter of the team out due to injury and covid which impacted so much in their run resulting in so much happening off and on the pitch but Chelsea 2022-23 Pre-season is expected to prepare them.

They couldn’t get back quickly as during those times their 13 points gap on top of the Premier League table was narrowed down in a couple of games which they struggle to win meaning they had to drop from number one to two within that December period.

Things got worst with them moving further behind on the table which saw Liverpool overtake them as number two leaving to with so much to struggle for as they entered the new year with so much already happened to them and no way back despite all attempts.

They did manage to carry on at which point they lost the Carabao FA Cup title to Liverpool whom they later went on to lose the Emirates FA Cup to via the same penalties outcome which didn’t work out for them on two occasions causing so much heartbreak but Chelsea 2022-23 Pre-season will gear them up the new season.

This was just part of their troubles for the season as later in the early they faced a major setback as the UK government placed a ban on the club due to the ties of owner Roman Abramovich with Russian President Vladimir Putin who ordered an invasion of Ukraine.

That hit them so badly with so many uncertainties concerning them going back to full operation as everything was tight leading to them losing Andreas Christensen and Antonio Rudiger who left as a free agent as a new contract couldn’t be registered for them.

Although things are back to normal and Chelsea 2022-23 Pre-season will be happening as a new owner Todd Boehly and his consortium have taken over with pending approval from the Uk government which will see them operate fully as a football club.

They will be spending the first part of their preparations ahead of the 2022-2023 season in the United States of America which is where the new owners are based, this will help them bring the club closer to their environment in a big to make their first earnings as owners.
