Chelsea has been drawn to play against Middlesbrough in the Emirates FA Cup quarter-final round, KTNBlog reporting.
The Blues and other clubs have confirmed their next opponent as the draws for the quarter-final have been made with Everton Vs Boreham Wood still playing against each other to confirm who makes it through to face the side they will go up against next for a chance to make semifinals.
Chelsea who struggled to make it through into the next round against Championship side Luton Town who gave them a good fight as they almost crashed out the English Premier League side who had to come back from behind twice to ensure they finished off the game with Romelu Lukaku winning goal to end things 2-3.
Manchester City is another Premier League side who made it into the quarterfinals after beating Peterborough United in an encounter which wasn’t an easy one also for them as they had to wait until the second half before they scored both of their goals which saw them qualify with a 2-0 victory.
Liverpool had a good dance with another Premier League side in Norwich City who did everything possible but a brace from Takumi Minamino in the first half was enough to see them make it through into the next round despite a second-half fight which saw the away side pull one back to end the affair 2-1.
The biggest shocker for the previous round of games was Tottenham crashing out against giant-killers Middlesbrough who after knocking Arsenal out are back again beating another Premier League side in extra time 1-0 as Spurs were frustrated on that day and ended up losing the game.
The draws for the quarter finals has been conducted with opponents knowing who they are up against with a chance of making it into the semifinals on the table with hopes of maybe them getting an opportunity at the title which is currently being held by Leicester City who are already out.
Finalist Chelsea are the only side left and they also stand good enough chance of making it to the final once again pending if they improve in their performance which was very poor against Luton Town who punished them and they barely came out of the game victorious if not for the second half where they changed things.
